Uveitis

Uveitis is a group of infectious and non-infectious inflammatory diseases of the eye and is the third most common cause of irreversible blindness in the developed world.  It is complicated to diagnose and treat, often requiring systemic medications and sometimes associated with systemic syndromes such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, sarcoidosis, or infectious diseases such as Lyme disease or Toxoplasmosis.
